B. Business Activities of the Research Analyst

  • Publishing research reports based on thorough and ongoing research activities.
  • Offering an independent and unbiased perspective on securities.
  • Providing objective recommendations while disclosing any financial interest in the suggested securities.
  • Sharing insights and guidance backed by publicly available data and observable trends.
  • Conducting an annual audit to ensure transparency and regulatory compliance.

    • C. Services Offered to Investors (No Indicative Timelines)

  • Client Onboarding Process
  • Full disclosure of relevant information to clients
  • Fair and equal distribution of research reports and recommendations
  • Ensuring confidentiality of research content until it is publicly released.

    • D. Grievance Redressal Mechanism

  • First contact the concerned Research Analyst for resolution. The complaint should be resolved within 21 days.
  • If not resolved satisfactorily, investors may lodge a complaint with SEBI via the SCORES portal — a centralized web-based complaint redressal system.

    • E. Investor Responsibilities: Expectations from Investors

    Do’s:
  • Deal only with SEBI-registered Research Analysts.
  • Verify the registration certificate and SEBI registration number.
  • Check the list of registered Research Analysts on the SEBI website: SEBI Registered Research Analysts
  • Review all disclosures in the research reports before making investment decisions.
  • Make payments through secure banking channels only, and keep duly signed payment receipts.
  • Consider the Research Analyst’s recommendation before making any investment or applying in public offers.
  • Ask questions and clarify any doubts with the Research Analyst before acting on their advice.
  • Report any Research Analyst promising guaranteed returns directly to SEBI.
    • Don’ts:
  • Do not give funds to the Research Analyst for investment.
  • Do not fall for misleading advertisements, rumors, or high-return promises.
  • Do not be swayed by limited-time discounts, gifts, or promotional offers from Research Analysts.
  • Do not share your trading or demat account login credentials with the Research Analyst.
